Why have a personalized training plan and coach?
As can be seen from a quick Google search, there are plenty of training plans available on the internet. Moreover, you can find thousands of books and articles on how to train. A personal training plan together with a coach will allow you to achieve the best possible result.
Training for endurance sports is never linear, and we have to adapt constantly to the training we are doing and what life throws at us. Having a coach is the best support you can have, in my opinion.
My training philosophy
With a background in competitive sports and a masters in sports science, I bring a blend of personal experience and professional knowledge to the table. My degree in and dedication to sports science ensures that your training is backed by science. Reserach shows that, in the long run, the importance of periodization, recovery, and nutrition should not be undervalued. I prioritize therefore focusing on these areas whilst training smart.
Throughout my career, I have enjoyed trying and testing many traditional training principles. Additionally and more recently, training trends such as lactate testing and heat training have played a significant role in my approach. Aditionally, staying up-to-date on the latest research is something I prioritize.
In addition to providing you with a training schedule, I work with you to understand the why behind each workout and how each workout fits into the week/month/block. My hope is that this process will eventually help you develop as an athlete. Whether you’re preparing for a key race or looking to improve your general overall fitness, my approach ensures that your training is structured for success while remaining sustainable.
